Research Topic
"LINKAGE BETWEEN CELL MICROENVIRONMENT AND CELL FUNCTIONS AND STRUCTURES"
Details:
This study aims in looking into what biochemical reactions of cancer cells are affected in response to different microenvironments. Different cell culture substrates will be using to represent different cell growing microenvironments; substrates that will be used are glass, polystyrene, biopolymer and bioimprint. Knowledge of manipulating cell behaviours through stimulations from the microenvironment can be applied in future cell culture system development, stem cells research, cancer cells research, tissue implantation and even in finding new therapies for diseases caused partly by an alteration in biomechanical interaction.
Current interests:
- Biomolecular process of cancer cell
- Modification of cell culture substrates
- Bioimprinting
