A Turing Robot

A Turing Robot is an unpublished memorandum, which I wrote in 1994, about a Turing Robot. The idea is to give a standard Turing Machine the ability to interact with the real world.

Ultrasonic

Some Recollections of Peter L Joyce of the Ultrasonic Gear describes the ultrasonic equipment from recollections and a report by Peter L. Joyce.

UltResults

Ultrasonic Absorption in Liquids contains some of the results which were recorded in our Laboratory Notebooks.

STELLA

STELLA: A Scheme for a Learning Machine was submitted on 23 August 1962 to the IFAC Congress held in Basel, Switzerland, in 1963. The Proceedings of the Conference were published in 1964.

CarStella

This is another paper about STeLLA, in which Brian Gaines relates the design of STeLLA to the general control problem. This is a good description of STeLLA learning to steer a car on a cambered, slippery road. A Learning Machine in the Context of the General Control Problem was presented at the 3rd IFAC Congress held in London, U.K., in 1966.

UC-DSE/1

This is a word-for-word, page-for-page, copy of Man-Machine Studies Report UC-DSE/1(1972): A Learning Machine in the Context of the General Control Problem. This Report is the first of a series of 40 research reports issued over 20 years from 1972 to 1991.

MultipleContext

An essay on the power of a multiple context, MultipleContext, with illustrations from new simulations of the Numbers-in-the-Head experiment, described in chapter 4 of Associative Learning for a Robot Intelligence.

Re-Entrant PP

The eighth is an essay on the new re-entrant version of PURR-PUSS, called Re-Entrant PP.
